Arden Bercovitz’s niche
as an entertaining, inspiring, and informative professional speaker is
so unique that people are always asking, “How did speaking in character
as Albert Einstein come about?”
Arden’s Einstein story began
October 15, 1985. At the time, scientist, researcher, educator, creativity
expert and keynote speaker, Arden Bercovitz, Ph.D., CSP, was a Reproductive
Endocrinologist at an internationally renowned zoo. He was studying captive
breeding of endangered birds, and was presenting original research to international
science conferences.
Always striving to excel,
Arden wanted to become a better presenter of his scientific data. So he
attended a Toastmasters meeting. The moment Arden heard about a unique
category of speakers, who present as historical characters, Albert Einstein
popped into Arden’s head! Arden had a year of college physics, with no
special interest in Einstein. But there Einstein was, in his head. And,
like you, Arden knows a good idea when it bumps into him.
Arden’s Einstein debuted
in 1988, with a purpose: to explore and expand creativity and to help people
learn new ways of thinking. Skillfully weaving stories and quotes from
Einstein's life with the issues currently facing each group, Arden helps
people to recognize new windows of opportunity. Entertaining, humorous,
captivating, and thought-provoking, Einstein’s inspiring words act as “candy
for the mind,” nudging neurons, and catalyzing Outside-the-Box-Big-Picture
Thinking! And, Arden, still in character as Einstein, does an incredible,
not-to-be missed Q&A. People say they feel like they are in the presence
of the great man, himself! Arden likes to say, “It’s as close as you can
get!”
Over the years, Arden’s client
list has grown to include many Fortune 500 corporations, government groups,
and professional associations in a wide range of industries: telecom, energy,
utility, financial, education, computer, user groups, engineering, manufacturing,
R&D, construction, medical, bio tech, and pharmaceutical, among others.
Says Einstein, “Creativity
is seeing what everyone sees and thinking what no one has ever thought.”
Bercovitz's goals are to nudge some neurons, juice up creativity, and catalyze
BIG Picture thinking. "People learn best by example," said Bercovitz, "and
Einstein is a compelling model."
Arden received his Ph.D.
in Reproductive Endocrinology from the University of Missouri, Columbia,
in 1976, his MS from the University from Washington, Pullman, and his BS
from Cal Poly, Pomona. His multi-disciplinary training included emphasis
on the environment and nutrition. He holds a lifetime teaching credential
and has taught science at elementary and college levels. He also served
as Dean of Learning Assessment for a private university.
His portrayal of Einstein
has been featured in SUCCESS magazine, the Los Angeles Times, the San Diego
Business Journal, the San Diego Union Tribune, and numerous trade journals
and local papers.
