Maddy Kent Dychtwald is a nationally recognized public speaker, author,
marketing executive and entrepreneur. One of the nation's leading authorities
on the mature market, for the past ten years she has been analyzing and
forecasting consumer and marketing trends relative to Baby Boomers and
the 50-plus population. In 1986, she co-founded Age Wave, Inc., the nation's
premier consulting and marketing firm focused on the desires and needs
of mature consumers.
In her capacities at Age Wave, Ms. Dychtwald managed projects involving
a diverse group of Fortune 500 clients, including companies such as Blue
Cross/Blue Shield, Eckerd Drug Company, McDonald's, Ortho Pharmaceuticals,
and The Principal Financial Group. She has helped these and numerous other
companies develop leading-edge products and marketing strategies that target
middle-aged and mature market segments.
Ms. Dychtwald has been featured in newspapers, magazines and trade publications
nationwide. She is also an award-winning producer of numerous communications
programs, including a PBS special, that depict a positive image of aging.
She is currently at work on her new book, “The Power Generation.”
Ms. Dychtwald's presentations combine provocative information with exciting
and entertaining multimedia imagery. She has delivered speeches to more
than fifty thousand people nationwide. A baby boomer herself, Ms. Dychtwald
graduated magna cum laude from New York University. Presently she lives
in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, Ken, and their two children,
Casey and Zakary.
