Rich Little is the undisputed master of mimicry and has gained international
recognition as one of the most diversely gifted and popular performers
in the entertainment business. Rich's extraordinary impressions are legendary
for his superb comic timing and are perfected to the tiniest detail. His
portrayals of personalities range from Bill Clinton to Kermit the Frog.
Rich Little maintains one of the most rigorous schedules of personal appearances
in the industry taking him to such diverse audiences as his performance
for the Prince and Princess of Wales, and to such entertainment capitals
as Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Reno, Lake Tahoe, Myrtle Beach, SC., Branson,
MO. and Hawaii. He still finds time to support various charities close
to his heart most notably as spokesperson for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
Rich's live performances are both hilarious and evocative of nostalgic
moments. Blending comedy and song, he mimics a number of singers
including Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Neil
Diamond and Tom Jones. His tributes to legends such as Humphrey Bogart,
John Wayne, Clark Gable and Cary Grant are great favorites with his audiences.
He starred in his own weekly television series, "The Rich Little Show"
on NBC. Past specials include "Rich Little's Christmas Carol" for Home
Box Office. He played all the roles in this version of the Dickens classic,
winning top prizes at the Montreux Festival in Switzerland and gaining
an Emmy Award in the United States. He has also starred in other programs
for HBO, including "The Great Pretenders", "Rich Little Come Laugh With
Me" and "Rich Little's Robin Hood" - a one-man show with Rich portraying
Groucho Marx ~ Robin Hood, Carol Channing as Maid Marian and Richard
Nixon as King Richard.
Rich has hosted two syndicated television shows, "Making It Happen" and
"You Asked For It", and has guest-starred on several primetime series,
including "Fantasy Island" and "Murder She Wrote". He was also a regular
on the comedy series "Love On A Rooftop", "The John Davidson Show",
"The Julie Andrews Hour" and "Kopykats" a popular series with impressionists
which Rich later adapted into a long-running Las. Vegas stage show. Always
interested in doing different things, Rich has played himself on a number
of episodes of daytime TV shows such as "The Young and the Restless" as
well as NBC's "Santa Barbara". Rich has recently cast to portray
Johnny Carson in the HBO movie "The Late Shift", which deals with the race
to succeed Carson as host of "The Tonight Show
Rich Little has twice received the Cleveland Armory Award as Best Guest
on a Television Talk Show and was named Comedy Star of the Year by the
American Guild of Variety Artists. His comedy album, "The First Family
Rides Again" - a spoof of the Reagan family, who are among his biggest
fans - was a million seller. Rich Little has written and produced nine
comedy records during his career to date.
