Rudy knows that we all have dreams an goals but do not always have a way to fulfill them. He shows us how to do that. He teaches the important and necessary part that perseverance, attitude, and belief in yourself play in achieving your dreams and goals. He shows us how to change our attitudes, overcome obstacles, turn struggles into experience, turn our anger into positive productive energy, develop positive relationships, and become the person we want to.

  It took several rejections, but with dedication to his dream Rudy was accepted to the University of Notre Dame. Full of fierce determination, Rudy risked his life everyday on the practice field as a member of the scout team, going up against the Notre Dame Varsity Team as they ran their plays. Rudy's persistence paid off and he won the respect of his teammate, coaches and the Notre Dame student body. In his last few minutes of the final home game -- Rudy's last chance to play -- the team starts to chant “Ru-dy, Ru-dy, Ru-dy.” Within minutes the entire stadium chanted his name. During the last 27 seconds, Rudy was put in the game. He sacked the quarterback! Rudy is the only player since 1975 to be carried off the field on the shoulders of his teammates. “Rudy,” the movie received “Two Thumbs Up” from Siskel & Ebert. The rest is history.
